Regular maintenance keeps your cycle running smoothly and prevents expensive repairs. Follow this simple checklist to keep your bike in top condition.
Weekly Checks (5 minutes)
- Tyre pressure: Check with thumb test or gauge
- Brakes: Squeeze levers - should stop halfway
- Chain: Look for rust or excessive dirt
- Quick spin: Lift wheel and check for rubbing
Monthly Maintenance (30 minutes)
- Clean drivetrain: Wipe chain and gears with cloth
- Lubricate chain: Apply chain lube sparingly
- Check bolts: Tighten stem, seat, and rack bolts
- Inspect tyres: Look for cuts, bulges, or worn tread
- Test gears: Shift through all gears smoothly
Every 3-6 Months: Professional Service
